Birdies for Charity 2012
Tell a Friend

Posted on 01/17/2012

Dear Friends,

The 2012 Valero Texas Open is upon us and once again it is time to kick-off Birdies for Charity® (BFC).This is theevent centered on the Valero Texas Open, which raises more money for charities than any other PGA tournament on the tour. The tournament is held at the prestigious TPC San Antonio (Oaks Course), and the response from both players and sponsors to the course and event has been incredible!

Here’s how BFC works: We are asking you to pledge a minimum of one penny per birdie made at the Valero Texas Open (April 16 – 22, 2012). A birdie is a score of one stroke under par for any golf hole on the course. You may certainly pledge more if you like, or make a one-time donation of at least $20. You can even involve your business by pledging 50 cents or more per birdie. Arms of Hope (Medina Children’s Home Campus) will receive 100% of your contribution.

With your help, we are eligible to receive additional grants and bonuses based on how much we raise, such as:

• $50,000 from Valero;

• $500 bi-weekly bonuses for the organization raising the most money during that bi-weekly timeframe;

• A share of the $50,000 purse from the Oak Farms Dairy Charity Pro-Am;

• $100,000 grant from Golf San Antonio!

Please help Arms of Hope, Medina Children’s Home Campus by pledging your support today. Click here for a Birdies for Charity® pledge form which also explains the “Guess the Birdies” contest for your chance to win a new car.

Please fill it out and return it to:
